Folk Canada is the nation’s leading organization dedicated to the folk, roots, and traditional music community, with over 38 years of supporting our members and the growth of the Canadian folk music industry. Their initiatives include the annual Folk Canada Conference, Developing Artist Program, Developing Presenters' Program, Festivals' Retreat, Ontario Folk Music Awards, Refolkus Podcast, International export events, and more. 

The Folk Canada conference has connected artists and presenters through showcasing, one-on-one meetings, networking, peer sessions, panels, mentorship, and other career development opportunities since 1986.

Roisin has been involved with Folk Canada since 2023, when the conference was taking place in London, ON. Roisin started as the Volunteer Coordinator in the summer of 2023 and since 2025, she has entered the role of Showcase Coordinator. In this role she is responsible for the production, onsite production team, backline rentals, and communications with artists/managers regarding showcase timing and backline/tech requirements.
